What is the DiSC® System?

DiSC® is a personal assessment tool used by more than one million people every year to help improve teamwork, communication and productivity in the workplace.

The DiSC profile tool is based on a theory devised over a 100 year’s ago by William Moulton Marston and looks at how you work with others, based on your personality traits.

Knowing your DiSC profile will give you an indication of how you may come across to others, help you predict how you’ll respond to a situation and how to work better with colleagues.

The 4 Key Behaviour Types

D= Dominance (red)

I = Influence (yellow)

S = Steady (green)

C = Conscientious (blue)

Recognising The Personality Traits

To reach harmony in the workplace it can be advantageous to understand the different personality traits around you.

The red ‘dominant’ Alpha. Do you know one? They may be driven, decisive, results-oriented and ambitious – but how do you get them to listen more and take time to look at the bigger picture?

And how best to manage a yellow ‘influential’ person in the workplace? Yes, they may be fun with lots of positivity, but what should you do to keep them on task and stick to a schedule?

How can you encourage the green ‘steady’ colleague to change? What can you do to help them meet a deadline or get them to work faster?

And is perfectionism stopping the blue ‘conscientious’ worker achieve what they need to? They are great for attention to detail and make brilliant lawyers and accountants, but is their pedantic way of working holding your business back?

Would you like to learn more about your ‘business personality’?
